High School Tryout FAQs

Tryouts are less than a week away! Here are the must-knows for the upcoming season:

1. Does my child need a physical to participate in tryouts?

Yes, all 9th-12th grade players need a physical to participate in tryouts, clinics, camps, and conditioning. Fill out the physical and upload your final copy on ParentVue. All forms can be found and printed from ParentVue, and they must be submitted online before tryouts.

2. How can my daughter get ready for tryouts?

There are several clubs nearby such as Cobb Atlanta Volleyball, A5 Volleyball, and Phoenix Rising Volleyball which host camps and clinics to prepare for tryouts. We are also hosting conditioning sessions. (Join our Facebook group to get access to dates and times).

Or, visit our own Coach Kat’s YouTube channel for at home practices: https://youtube.com/channel/UCP0R0XhKqkvRnkOdrpCKomw

3. When are practice times?

High school practices typically run Monday-Friday from 3:45-5:45pm on non-game days. Practices will begin the first day of school.

During the summer, we will also host open gyms which are currently scheduled to run every Tuesday and Thursday from 2-5pm throughout June. Conditioning will continue every Monday from 9-12pm.

4. Will there be a summer camp?

Yes! We are excited to announce our high school summer camp which is running from July 12-14th from 9-4pm. During our lunch break, we will have some team bonding activities alongside of our lunch.

5. How much should I expect to pay in player fees?

Fees fluctuate slightly each year due to tournaments we enter, new program maintenance that arises, and updated player packs. For reference only, last year’s fees were $400 for JV/Varsity. Final fees will be communicated at the mandatory parent meeting May 17th for all 2021 players.

6. How can I help?

We will gladly accept help in the form of volunteer time, donations, fundraising, etc. At the preseason meeting May 17th, parents will be able to run for booster club officer positions, volunteer for team positions, and learn about our fundraising goals for the season.
